Malawian graphic designer  William Chipula has achieved a significant milestone in his career after winning a design competition for the prestigious Durban Music Fest in South Africa. What started as a bold move to share his creative vision, Chipula’s alternative design to the initial festival flyer quickly caught the attention of the event organisers. His submission led to an invitation to compete against 10 other designers, where his design ultimately won with 82 percent of the votes. As the winner, Chipula's design will be featured as the official artwork for the event, and he will have the opportunity to create additional visuals for the festival. Chipula was also awarded two golden circle tickets to attend the festival and has been prioritized for future collaborations with the festival team.
