The MBC Entertainers of the Year winners receive Prime Plots from Green Villages.

As a sign of its dedication to Malawi's entertainment sector, Green Villages has formally turned over two prime plots to comedian Andrea Thonyiwa, well known as Mr Jokes, and musician Pempho Eliya, better known as Fada Moti. The transfer ceremony was held today at the Blantyre location of Green Villages Lunzu. 

This initiative comes after the Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) hosted the MBC Entertainers of the Year event last December, when Mr. Jokes won Stand-up Comedian of the Year and Fada Moti was awarded Up-Coming Artist of the Year. 

Fada Moti and Mr. Jokes responded to this distinction by expressing their sincere gratitude to Green Villages for upholding its pledge to foster local talent by giving them land.

Green Villages was pleased to be a sponsor of the MBC Entertainers of the Year event. This yearly event, which dates back to the 1970s, honours and recognises exceptional contributions made by Malawi's cultural community.
