In a recent interview, Onesimus promised his followers an incredible 2025, hinting at an exciting year to come. “I
have got an album to drop, and I’m expecting a lot of things,” he revealed. “I
also want to thank my country’s people here in Malawi for always supporting
me.”
With
an overwhelming number of domestic and international awards, Onesimus's 2024
was nothing short of extraordinary. Among his noteworthy awards include Song of
the Year (Controller) at the 2024 Music Video Africa Awards (MVAA), Best Male
Artist at the 2024 Shining Star Africa Awards, and Best Male Artist at the 2024
HAPA Awards.
With
two nominations for the next awards event in Kigali, Rwanda, in April, the
musician's momentum is clearly not slowing down. Onesimus has nominations for
both Best Young Achiever Artist of the Year and Best Young Achiever Music Video
of the Year for his popular song "Controller." At the same time,
music fans are responding incredibly well to "Tabwera." The song's
visualiser had an astounding 5,000 views on YouTube in the first hour of its
release, laying the groundwork for a number-one hit.
